“Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul.” – Emily Dickinson
This cocktail for a #healinggardenboost of Calendula and Santolina, rocking it at Red Ridge Farms in Dayton, Oregon, speaks hope to me.
In part because of Calendula’s color (orange = enthusiasm, happiness, creativity) with that grey blue fuzzy look of Santolina and because both plants have potent possibilities in the benefit + beauty department.

Calendula is known for support of girl-power “issues” (read: cramps) and Santolina heralds from the camomile tribe (read: calming). What’s even better is when planted together – in masses (!) – for a ribbon worthy of featuring as #FridayPlantHappyHour. Oh, and don’t forget scent of Santolina. (Truth: I’m often found standing in my Santolina “swoop” petting the plants for the release of a terrific scent.)
Psst! Lower water need-ers too. Bonus!
